Reverend Johnson
Reverend Zachariah J. Johnson serves as Minister of Education at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Mansfield, Texas, under the leadership of Reverend Dr. Michael A. Evans, Sr. Preparing himself for ministry work through seminary instruction, Rev. Johnson received a Bachelor of Religious Education degree from Moody Bible Institute in 2008 and attained a Master of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2014.
A native Texan, Rev. Johnson is the son of Reverend Dr. Nathan Johnson, Senior Pastor of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church in Detroit, Michigan, and Michael Michelle Johnson, a devoted mother and home-maker. While pursuing his undergraduate degree and actively participating in college ministry, Rev. Johnson met the woman who became his wife and life-long friend, Shakita Johnson. They have one child, Jeremiah.
Through all ministry opportunities, Rev. Johnson commits himself to being a servant. He strives to help others encounter Christ, lead those in the process of yielding their life to God, and nurture their spiritual development. He knows it is by God’s grace we are allowed to serve the Lord and considers it a blessed privilege to be entrusted with the sacred tasks of preaching and teaching God’s Holy Word.
